Lake Arrowhead State Park revolves around one of the most popular lakes in the North Central Plains. Lake Arrowhead offers marvelous fishing, swimming, and boating opportunities, while the surrounding park features a disc golf course, plentiful picnicking and camping spots, and wildlife evocative of a semiarid climate, including Black-tailed Prairie Dogs. The park occupies more than 500 acres about 15 miles south of downtown, on the northernmost tip of the lake.
